The AIM600 enables you to process large numbers of samples simultaneously. Automating the digestion process allows you to free up lab staff for other activities - a saving on labour costs.

• High sample capacity - you are able to digest up to 50 samples at a time, the highest tube capacity on the market
  
  
• Multiple programs - you can automate up to 20 different digestion procedures.
  
  
• Unattended operation - you can program the AIM600 to run a digest overnight so that the samples are ready for analysis at the start of the next working day.
  
  
• Elevated standby temperature for rapid start up that enable you to process more batched per day

Better Quality Digests

The goal of any digestion procedure is to provide reliable and reproducible digests for analysis. The AIM600 ensures the quality of your digests in three ways:

• Electronically stored methods - means you get the same digestion performance from batch-to-batch and operator-to-operator.
  
  
• Precise Temperature Control - a specially designed heating plate evenly heats your samples and eliminates "cold spots" on the block. The AIM600 can accurately control within +/- 2 deg C of set temperature. During a run, the AIM600 controller displays the actual block temperature and the program status at all times.
  
  
• Promoting the acid reflux - the tube rack fully encloses the digestion tubes to blanket the radiated heat and prevent ventilation drafts. An integral draft shield allows you to check the digestion tubes at any time.

Increased Safety

The AIM600 addresses a number of safety concerns commonly associated with carrying out digestion work:

• Controlled heating rates - the rate at which your samples are heated can be as little as 1 deg C per minute to protect against bumping and splattering of hot acids.
  
  
• Over temperature cut-out protection - the AIM600 controller has an automatic cut-off if the programmed temperature is exceeded by 30 deg C or if the maximum temperature is exceeded.
  
  
• Separate control unit - By housing the electronics in a separate module, the AIM600 can be controlled from outside the unit protecting both the electronics and you from corrosive acid fumes.
  
  
• Power Protection - in the case of a power failure, the AIM600 controller advises you the state of the digest at the point of power loss. When power resumes, you can continue the digest from the point of interruption.
