PathFinder 900 Tube Management System

PathFinder 900 is an automated high speed tube management system. It utilises the latest technologies in software and robotics to automatically track, sort and/or aliquot specimen samples (serum, plasma, blood or urine).

The PathFinder 900 carries out a number of different functions including tube type identification, decapping, secondary tube preparation, aliquoting, capping, sorting and archiving.

Tubes can be sorted into a variety of different user definable output racks. Aliquoting is from primary tubes into a number of duplicate tubes. The duplicate tubes are labelled and capped; the primary tubes can be re-capped or left uncapped, and both are transported to appropriate racks for distribution to workstations within the laboratory, or alternatively to storage racks.

If the primary tube is required for testing, PathFinder will check patient details and tube type, and distribute directly to a rack ready for analysis.
